The H8952 features a 580 MHz 24Kc MIPS core, with 128 MB of RAM and 16 MB of Flash, in an IP30 metal package (≈ 300 g, 99.7×98.8×23.4 mm), powered by 5–36 V DC, and capable of operating from –30 °C to +75 °C.

In terms of connectivity, it offers two mini-SIM slots (automatic switching), two configurable 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet ports, a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi module (AP or station mode), two cellular antennas (SMA connectors) and a serial port (RS-232 or RS-485).

Network functions cover NAT, PAT, firewall, VLAN, QoS, static/dynamic routing (RIP, OSPF, BGP), and automatic failover between WAN/Ethernet/4G/Wi‑Fi.

In terms of security, the H8952 offers IPSec, OpenVPN, GRE, WireGuard, DMVPN, as well as ACL/DMZ filters, and protection against DDoS attacks and port scanning.

Remote management is via HongdianOS, with hardware watchdog, auto-recovery, management via HTTP/Telnet/SSH/SNMP/SNMPv3, SMS, and integrated SD‑WAN cloud platform for update, monitoring, multiple VPN tunnels, and centralized management

Typical applications: interactive terminals, vending machines, charging stations, industrial surveillance, IP cameras, Edge platforms, etc., where secure, ultra-resilient connection is crucial.
